Area 82 officer/DCM (District Committee Member) meetings take place the last Sunday of the month at 6:00 pm NS/6:30 NL

All A.A. members are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting and may speak with the permission of the chair, after all voting members have spoken, however, they do not have a vote.

The purpose of the regular monthly meeting is to share our combined experiences in Committee work throughout Area 82 with the goals of :

• Keeping the Area 82 membership informed of Service Committee activities Area wide.
• Identifying opportunities where we (as an Area) can better carry the AA Recovery message.
• Helping new committees during their formation (both materially and with experience).
• Sharing Service ideas from the more experienced folks in Districts where Committees are well established.

As we prepare for the Fall Assembly in St. John’s, NL, on October 10–12, 2025, it’s essential to start thinking about agenda items.

Please take the time to discuss potential topics with your groups and GSRs in advance. We’ll finalize and refine these agenda topics during our Service Weekends:

• Newfoundland: May 9–11, 2025
• Nova Scotia: May 30–June 1, 2025

The finalized topics will then be submitted for inclusion in the Fall Assembly Agenda.

To ensure we stay on track, please submit your agenda item suggestions to George MacL. chair@area82aa.org by Friday, February 21, 2025.
